“AAPI Heritage Month is an opportunity for me to celebrate and honor the rich cultural heritage of Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders, including my own Filipino heritage. In my daily life, I cherish my heritage by immersing myself in Filipino traditions, listening to stories passed down by my family, attempting to recreate traditional dishes, and engaging in cultural events when I’m rooted in one place. My AAPI heritage, shaped by my mother’s immigrant journey and the values of resilience and community she instilled in me, profoundly influences both my personal and professional life.”

“AAPI Heritage Month is a time for me to reflect on the rich tapestry of my Filipino culture, a celebration of family ties, and a recognition of the remarkable contributions made by the diverse AAPI community. In both my personal and professional life, the influence of my AAPI heritage is profound. Family-centric values of unity and celebration fill my daily interactions, while professionally, I strive to foster a sense of community on tour with a tremendously diverse group of talented individuals and identify a common goal that steers us into creating something special.”

“In my daily life, aspects of my AAPI heritage subtly manifest through phrases like “Aloha,” a greeting I share habitually, and the nickname “Maui,” given to me years ago, reflecting my Oahu roots. I strive to instill the spirit of Aloha in all my interactions, spreading warmth wherever I go. Professionally and personally, while my ethnicity shapes a part of my identity, my actions and values better represent who I am. Though lacking direct cultural influences due to adoption, my parents’ encouragement to explore my heritage led me to embrace it with joy and freedom, integrating its elements into my life on my terms.”
